What is a Notary?
Witnessing Signatures (Acknowledgments)

What is Required?

· Signature Capacity: The signer must be legally capable of signing the document. This means they should not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and must be mentally competent.
· No Blank Spaces: The document should not have any blank spaces that could be filled in after the signing, as this may lead to potential fraud.
· Required Witnesses (if applicable): In some cases, additional witnesses may need to be present when the document is signed. The notary may need to verify the presence of these witnesses.
